Father's Day gives me funny feelings... I haven't had a father for more than half my life, but he's in the air I breathe. My grandmother joined him today. Born in Romania in 1923, Immigration changed her name to Blanche when she arrived in America after WWII. Her real name was Blanca, a romantic white light moniker for a formidable woman.
